OSH MANAGEMENT SYSTEM IN LEOPAD GROUP

Safety and Health practitioners all over the world are striving hard to identify better ways to prevent injuries and illness at workplaces.  LEOPAD GROUP is of no exception, as over the past few years our mindset has shifted from just having ‘Safety Procedures‘  to achieving the international standards of  ‘Occupational Safety and Health Management Systems ‘.

The root of this change is the shift in our thinking.  We are no longer looking at Safety as a special initiative that is unrelated to our core business functions.  Rather, we speak and strive to create a culture where Safety and Health management is an integral part of our company business.  GROUP SHE Management wants all our branches and departments management to make Safety and Health into their decision making process, just as they consider cost, quality and customer service.  The guide principal for this is using our OSH Management System ( OHSAS 18001 & MS 1722 ) as an everyday way of doing business.  This system provides all the management a framework for managing their branches’ and departments’ Safety and Health responsibilities and accountabilities.  The management with the association of their Safety Department should develop strategic OSH management plans.  Put these plans into action and monitor their effectiveness through regular internal audits.  This will indirectly enable them to improve their Safety and Health performance and reduce or prevent injuries, illness, or the worst case scenario, fatalities.

All our management must consider this OSH Management System as an important trend in business, especially in the Safety and Health field.  This management system will reflect the principles of quality, due diligence, continual improvement, and provide for the creation of prevention programs that can be implemented, maintained, documented and verified.
