On 16th January 2010, a meeting was held for key Safety personnel from all Leopad Group branches at Melaka CMC2 meeting room. As the last time this group met was in December 2008, it was necessary to gather them again to evaluate the issues brought up before and their current status. At the same time there were some new faces to be introduced too.
HR Manager, Mr. Selva, who represented the Head Office, gave a presentation on how HR department can support the Safety, Health and Environmental ( SHE ) management team. There were also presentations from Kulim branch and Paka branch ( Profitrise ) Safety Supervisors. The meeting proper started after breaktime and ended at 1.30 pm. Some of the issues discussed in the meeting were:
- Proposals for the next Quarterly Managers Meeting
- SOP for all Safety departments
- Roles of the team members
- Planning a training programme
- The LTI ( fatality ) at Lumut - briefed by Manjung branch Safety Manager
This meeting was chaired by Group SHE Manager, Mr. Magendren.
