THE QUEST FOR OHSAS 18001: 2007 & MS 1722: Part 1: 2005 CERTIFICATION

It is impossible to write this without expressing my deepest appreciation to all our Branch Managers, HSE key personnel and their management teams, for their dedication and co-operation in ensuring their success in the accreditation of the OHSAS 18001: 2007 and MS 1722: Part 1: 2005 certifications this year.

On 21^st November 2011, the Managing Director of Leopad Group, Mr. R. Loganathan, received the  ‘Appreciation Award ‘ on behalf of Leopad from SIRIM QAS International Malaysia for this achievement.  This event was held at the KL Convention Center (KLCC).  It was a joyous moment not for myself alone, but for all those who worked hard with me for the past one year towards the dream , that is this outstanding fulfilment of 100% achievement by all our 8 operational branches.  This journey does not stop here.  These achievements serve as the milestones to help us acknowledge that we are on the right path towards ultimate excellence in HSE.  With the strong support of our Directors and Top Management we aim to go for greater heights.  The journey in front of us may be a difficult task, but not that is impossible to achieve.

Our organization will be apart of the ‘World Quality Day’ by organizing events & campaign in all branches, related to Quality, in Nov 2011. All our activities will be published in the CQI website, & will be viewed by organizations from various parts of the world.

QUARTERLY QUALITY MEETING - 16TH AUG 2011

The Quarterly Quality Meeting was successfully conducted on the 16^th Aug 2011. This has been the 2^nd round of combined Quality cum SOP/ ISO 9001 Management Meeting held in the HQ together with the BODs, BMs & SOP Coordinators from all the branches. The main agenda of this meeting was as follows:

• SOP Coordinator’s Presentation on the progress of their Departmental Quality Objectives established since Jan 2011. All the planned vs achieved targets for all the departments were presented during this session. 
• QMR's presentation on the overall SOP/ ISO milestone events since Jan 2011, Client Ratings, Bid vs Awarded jobs & Overall KPI/ KRA achievement of all the branches. 
• Review of the previous Management Review MOM.

Following KPI recognition was awarded to the winners of the previous Quarterly Quality Meeting:

1) 1st Branch Ranking was Kulim Branch with KPI/KRA rating of 86% &

     Achievement of 'VERY GOOD ' Performance Category

2) 2nd Branch Ranking was Lumut Branch with KPI/KRA rating of 85% &

    Achievement of  'VERY GOOD' Performance Category

3) 3rd Branch Ranking was Malacca Branch with KPI/KRA rating of 83% &

     Achievement of "VERY GOOD' Performance Category

Leopad Group has also participated in the Quality Management Excellence Award 2011 organized by Malaysian Productivity Corporation, MOSTI.

LEOPAD CHARITY FOR THE UNDERPRIVILEGED

The festival of Ramadan (Ramadhan, or Bulan Puasa) is an important event in the Muslim calendar, a time of personal reflection and bonding with one's family. It  an intense period of seeking God's forgiveness for past sins by fasting, reading from the Qurʾan, reciting prayers, and almsgiving (zakat al-fitr) throughout Ramadan.

GHRAD attending Majlis Berbuka Puasa at Masjid Batu 10, Tangga Batu, Melaka which is organised by Leopad Melaka on 12th August 2011. Mr. Fizan, represented HQ in presenting Duit Raya and Hari Raya hampers to orphans, single mothers and poor families.
